DWU Port Moresby campus students prepare to travel home for holidays
First and Second year undergraduate students from Divine Word University, Port Moresby Campus pursuing studies in Business (Accounting and Management) have begun receiving their travel tickets in preparation for the Christmas holiday season.
The students will be travelling to various destinations across Papua New Guinea, including Bougainville, Hela, Madang, New Ireland, and many other provinces, allowing them to reunite with their families and communities during the festive period.
The timely distribution of tickets reflects the University's continued commitment to student welfare and ensuring that students can safely return home at the end of the academic year.
On behalf of the student body, Mr. Shephard Kia, Student Services Coordinator, expressed his appreciation to all those involved in facilitating the travel arrangements.
“I would like to sincerely thank the Campus Administrator's Office, Assistant Registrar's Office, and Student Services Office for their commitment and hard work in coordinating the travel arrangements for our students. Their collective efforts have ensured a smooth and efficient ticket distribution process, giving students the opportunity to travel home and spend the holidays with their families and loved ones. I also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology for its continued support in facilitating student travel assistance, making it possible for students from across Papua New Guinea to safely return home for the festive season,” said Mr. Kia
The University also acknowledges the support of Air Niugini in facilitating student travel arrangements and ensuring students are accommodated on available flights to their respective destinations.
As students prepare to depart for their home provinces, the University wishes them safe travels, a joyful Christmas celebration with their families and loved ones, and a prosperous New Year.
The Divine Word University community looks forward to welcoming all students back to campus next year to continue their academic journey.
