As Vice President for Planning and Development, Mrs. Julie Ruene spearheads Divine Word University's strategic initiatives, overseeing finance, marketing, partnerships, and campus infrastructure development. Committed to innovation and sustainable growth, she works closely with university leaders and external stakeholders to enhance institutional effectiveness and create opportunities that support the university's mission and future aspirations.

Responsive Partnership: 

Partnership and networking is a vital tool for development and growth. We would like to prioritize our attempts to liaise and collaborate effectively with key development partners and stakeholders. Divine Word University through Planning & Development will strive to develop and implement engagement and marketing plans over the next 5 years.    

We also value our Alumni by way of reaching out to them meaningfully and showing our DWU commitment to support their program activities since we acknowledge that the Alumni has a vital role as advocators of the University in ensuring growth and development of the University and the Country.

Sustainability and Stewardship

With Papua New Guinea celebrating its 50 years of Independence in September 2025 we would like to believe that the University has contributed significantly towards Integral Human Development.  Our focus in the next 50 years is to pursue in our efforts to maintain stability in the Operations of the University. Focusing on sustainability strategies for a viable and sustainable future to be a leading University in the Catholic Tradition, committed to Integral Human Development in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
