To apply, students must:

-        Successfully complete Grade 12 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better

-        Students should score “A” grade in English, and a minimum of “B” grade or better in Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry & Physics.

-        Submit certified academic records and a completed DWU application form

Yes. Students complete mandatory field placements in their third and fourth years, working with health authorities, NGOs, industries, or local governments. These internships provide hands-on experience in real-world environmental health roles. There will also be short industrial and community visits within the four years of studies apart from the work integrated placements.

Graduates can work as:

-         Environmental Health Officers (EHOs)

-         WASH Officers (NGOs or government)

-         Food Safety Officers with Municipal authorities, PHAs, and DDAs.

-         Occupational Health & Safety Officers with public and private industries.

-         Environmental consultants
Graduates are employed in government departments, health authorities, mining industries, NGOs, and international organizations.

Currently, the Bachelor of Environmental Health is delivered on campus at the Madang Campus.

Yes. Students may be eligible for:

·        TESAS (HECAS/AES) government scholarships

·        DEHERST HELP scheme which refers to the Higher Education Loan Program in PNG, administered by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST).

Yes. Graduates often pursue Master of Public Health (MPH), Environmental Health majoring in specialized streams such as Occupational Health and Safety; Environmental Health; Epidemiology; Industrial Hygiene or Public Health Administration and Management degrees. Some have received international scholarships for postgraduate study overseas and were very successful.
