DWU Madang Campus Recognises Marketing Student Ambassadors for Contribution to 30th Anniversary
Divine Word University Madang Campus today recognised its Marketing Student Ambassadors for their valuable contribution towards promoting and showcasing the University’s 30th Anniversary three-day celebrations held at the Madang Campus through its official social media platforms.
The students drawn from different faculties were presented with certificates of appreciation by Divine Word University President, Professor Fr. Philip Gibbs, SVD, in recognition of their willingness, enthusiasm and commitment in taking on the role of Marketing Student Ambassadors prior to and throughout the University’s three-day anniversary celebrations.
As Marketing Student Ambassadors, the students worked alongside the Marketing Team to capture and showcase the various activities and memorable moments throughout the three-day 30th Anniversary celebrations at the Madang Campus through Divine Word University’s official social media pages.
Speaking during the presentation, Fr. Gibbs thanked the students for willingly stepping forward and contributing their time, energy and creativity to promote the University and share its anniversary celebrations with the wider community.
He also encouraged them to see their involvement as more than simply an opportunity to assist during the celebrations, but as a valuable experience that would contribute to their personal and professional development.
“Taking part in initiatives like this can open doors and take you a long way. The hands-on experience you gain while you are here is invaluable because it equips you with the confidence and skills you will need when you step out into the professional world,” said Fr. Gibbs.
The Marketing Student Ambassador initiative provided the students with an opportunity to apply their skills in a practical setting while gaining experience in areas such as content creation, communication, teamwork, event coverage and social media engagement.
Their contribution helped capture the spirit of Divine Word University 30th Anniversary celebrations at the Madang Campus and share the occasion with alumni, staff, students, partners and followers of the University across its digital platforms.
The certificate presentation was an opportunity for the University and the Marketing Team to acknowledge the students for their enthusiasm and commitment, while also celebrating the importance of providing students with meaningful opportunities to gain practical experience beyond the classroom.
